At Chaunceys, sustainability is a core value that shapes how we do business. Beyond offering high-quality, sustainable wood flooring, we are committed to making a positive impact on our local environment and community.
So, this winter, our team once again had the privilege of supporting the Forest of Avon Trust, a fantastic Bristol-based charity dedicated to improving green spaces for the benefit of people, wildlife, and the planet.
At the end of December, Adam and Oskar took a break from the warmth of the office to brave the cold and help plant trees and hedgerows at a site in Failand, Bristol. The day was spent digging in rocky ground and working alongside a group of passionate volunteers, as well as a few friendly dogs and horses who added to the experience.
Despite the challenges, Adam and Oskar left the site feeling tired but fulfilled, knowing their efforts contributed to an initiative that will benefit the environment for generations to come.
This is not the first time our team has volunteered with the Forest of Avon Trust. Each time, we are struck by the professionalism and organisation of their events, as well as the rewarding nature of the work. It’s a reminder of the importance of preserving and expanding our green spaces in and around Bristol.
Tree planting is one of the most effective ways to create a lasting environmental impact. Trees play a critical role in sequestering carbon dioxide, reducing the effects of climate change, and providing vital habitats for countless species of wildlife.
